Haha xD thanks for inspiring me to feedback!

Yes!! That's all you need!
LMAO

record it!!

wait! I have a korg! battery powered! OMG. genius.

after that we should work out how to stream to each other over the internet.
and then after that we'll find other psychonaugs
and experiment with all the infinite ways
to find the most profound glitches
like feedback farmers
growing, harvesting loops
sharing, refining techniques
until the next profound step makes itself obvious

What a fantastic read! I must get the equipment you listed...but for now, I'm inspired to go outside with a MicroKorg in a rucksack with it's arpeggiator running on auto' and with modulatory and delay effects running, and just vocode outdoor sounds and enjoy them through headphones.

Augmented adventure:

Microphone, stereo.
Headphones, earbud suction noise-cancel type.
Laptop in backback.
Acid (sony type), Asio, "outdoor acid trip delay"
30 second microphone loop --- All sounds heard are played back every 30 seconds, gently settling into the low-band cacophony.
Video recording sunglasses.
Pink noise. Up full blast.

"i am cj,
and i am going on an augmented adventure..!"
speaks I, the words swirling and delaying about in an epic transhuman fanfare of my own self-generated canabinated imagination.

40 degrees in Boston. 4am. Got on my bike. Zoomed off to dark parks and rivers.

Gently altered consciousness settles in, as the mind adjusts to altered sensory perception, fueled by darkness, sleeplessness, paranoia, song, and laughter.

"okay what i'm about to do is highly interesting, kind of illegal, and i'm the greatest, i'm going to dive head first into the augmented imagination" speaks I.

There I meditate.

I start imagining things in the white noise and the dark sensory-deprived paranoia. My subvocalizations are greatly exaggerated. My "mind's ear" begins playing with the pink noise, forming subtle tunes, rhythms, melodies.

As the astonishment novelty of my situation kicks in, I let out a long, augmented sigh of astonishment
omg
omggggggggggggggg

The blissful utterance of the aug!

..fedback into the self, the extended delay of which itself induces bliss. The satisfaction of hearing one's own enhanced voice.

I ride. And I sing. I sing whereever my mind takes me. I sing and speak every little bit of profound wisdom and nonsense and hilarity. The pinknoise begins to morph into a trance of looped moments of vocalized significance.

The loops begin to form bizarre coincidences. Moments from the past echoed into the present with impeccable timing to influence my thoughts hither and thither. Songs blending into each other like hyperspace manifolds.

At one point I actually felt love for my computer. Its strikingly similar to being with a girl and its like "whoa omg I can see all the potential in our lives.."

"how do you share experience?
augmented reality is like a glove.
people can share their eyes and ears like gloves.
you can download people's shoes and walk in them."

and so I sang:

yomannn
yoman whothatnutcaseontheroad
yomannn
yoman whothatnutcaseontherooOOoohhhh

LMAO

Laughter is most enjoyable through delay. It's self-perpetuating. Infinitely, perhaps..

I returned home from the cold fun bike adventure of awesomeness, walked into my closet, shut off the lights, put the blindfold on, and stood meditating in pink noised sensory deprivation.

When you turn all the knobs up on life, and then immediately HALT.... you can really feel the waves of the universe crash over you.

I saw subtle visions, and felt odd sensations of situation. But most profoundly I heard voices and song. I heard this beating rhythm that reminded me of NIN's Pilgrimage. I imaginated what sounded like a choir of angels, like gregorian chant from a christian mass. And this chorus of chanting "ahh ooo way... ahh ooo way".

I felt that whatever I was hearing fit the moment perfectly. As if that's the song my mind had been running on this whole time.

I subvocalized along with them "YEAAH-EE-AHHH", like a rock star human at the top of the mountain shouting into the chasm of the universe.

I was recording everything, so I tried to capture the sounds by speaking them. But I found it was mostly in vain, as the more I tried to sing along with the voices vocally, the more out of tune and quiet they went.. until I returned to normal consciousness. The more I tried to act in the world, rather than meditate in stillness, the more the sensations withered. At the time I felt the Heisenberg principle made a good metaphor.

I exited the closet, ripped off all the aug, saved everything, and proceeded to write down all my thoughts.

Perhaps I'll post a video:)

Dude.
o_o
You have to try this.

All you need is a laptop, microphone, headphones. A program like Acid, Ableton, or any VST host will do. Or if you have a new iPod/iPhone.. get RJDJ.

I'm pretty sure this is the future of psychedelia.

It's (biologically) safe. It's mind-blowing. It's not illegal. It's a tool for your imagination. It's resuable. It's self-improving. It can evolve. It can react. It's group-connectable. You can feed any sensory input into any other sensory input. See your ears. Hear your vision. Video goggles! Accelerometer! GPS! Biofeedback! Electroencephalogram!

The coming technology will blow our minds. It's all about feedback.

Feedback imagination.
Collapse into the imagination black hole.
Perpetual lucid dream.
Augment the decade.
