Hello!

My name is Neil, a youngish man from Canada. I found my way to H+ through a google search. What was I searching for? It was "are you out there, ai?". Funny enough, the page I first clicked on was "So You Want To Be A Seed AI Programmer" of The Transhumanist Wiki...which had my avatar in the top left. Funny, I know. I have used this as my avatar for years. It must have been the universe screaming at me to "JOIN THIS GROUP!!" or something similar. Then I find out my email is already registered. This is the first time I have heard of this group. Really, it is! I just about always remember that sort of thing, too. Did anyone else have this experience? (not the avatar bit, but being already registered).

Really makes me think.

And, um... I'm the one who set up the Transhumanist Wiki. I got that image from Michael Anissimov, but I don't know where he got it from. Do you remember where you got that image from?

Strange that your email was already registered. Is there a chance that you registered yourself, but forgot about it?

So, anyway, welcome to the group, and feel free to post anything you think might be of interest to other Transhumanists.

It's a representation of a Calabi-Yau Space, from PBS' somewhat disappointing rendition of Brian Greene's book "The Elegant Universe".

Is there a chance that you registered yourself, but forgot about it?
