Don't I already exist in a cyberspace of chemical-based neural networks?

Don't we already exist in a cyberspace of neural network? I've read what Novamente is doing. They're creating a network:

Sounds like a network. The brain is like the original internet!

The very synapses of our brain work the same way memristors do, so using memristors is a natural means of creating an electrical brain. The following article not only discusses the electronic device but also a mechanical analogue.
